Accelerator is making a loud noise when over 25 mpgs. As I step on the gas a loud noise comes from under the hood. If the car is slowing down so does the noise. If the car is in 2nd gear and you step on the gas you can not hear the noise at all. It seems to be louder the faster you drive.

Loud noise burning smell

Most likely a belt problem or a worn out tensioner. You left off the year, make, model and engine so it's a guessing gamet. Read this post on how to track down the source of noise

I hear loud noise when I turn on air conditioner in my 2001 Chevy Suburban, it only makes noise when I accellerate or push gas in park. No noise when I am idled. But air blows cold still.

Check for wear or other faults all of the following: The belt, fan clutch, Check A/C compressor&clutch for damage. Check A/C compressor for damaged or faulty temperature switch switching compressor off and on too rapidly, or low oil level.Check A/C hoses for metal A/C Lines vibrating against other components under the hood, or faulty blower motor bushings. Hope this helps you out.

There is a loud ticking noise coming from under the hood. it gets louder when i step on the gas

For most vehicles it usually means a lifter out of adjustment, I have actually heard
a timing belt do this as it began to fail (if your vehicle has over 90 thousand miles)
Both items would require a visit to the auto repair shop. I hope this is useful.

2002 Chevy Cavalier- Makes a moaning sound when I start it up.

You need to pin down where the noise is coming from. It sounds like a pump, but cant be sure.

97 4runner making a low whirring noise/whine from engine.

Could be a possible break down of the plug wires. Seems that I remember hearing if your plug wires are breaking down inside and if its up against the motor you can hear something that sounds like interference in your radio. Just a thought, might want to check it out.
