Cylinder head and related components

Cylinder head bolt torque sequence

To install:
  1. Verify the identification marks on the cylinder head gasket. Install the gasket so that the surface of the cylinder head identification mark faces toward the cylinder head.
  2. Install the cylinder heads with new gaskets. Do not apply sealant to these surfaces.
  3. Tighten the bolts in sequence to 75–82 ft. lbs. (105–115 Nm).
  4. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Im sorry to tell you this but you cant realy fix a cracked head,, only to replace it with another one,,
you will neet to remove the complet head so if i were you i would get a work shop manual for your car and read up on it first,,, for a start its not an easy job you will need a lot of tools to do the work with and if your a "lay person" without a lot of experience it would be far better to drop it into a shop for repair you may just have a blown head gasket insted but it still means the heads got to come off to fix that as well,,,
the shop would be a lot cheeper that buying all the tools you would need to do this job, think about this bit first

How to tell if a fuse in 2003 Kia Sorento is good

None of those would be fixed by replacing the battery. Or did you replace the battery and then all of those stopped working?

You can tell of blade fuses are blown if you full them and hold them up to the light. That is a whole lot of stuff not working. I would say you need a good auto-electrician.

CAN/T FIND THE SPARK PLUGS ON A 03 KIA SORENTO

The 2003 Kia Sorento with V6 has the spark plugs located under black plastic covers in the center channel of each cylinder head. Several brackets, cables, and hoses must be moved out of the way to access them. The manifold air intake tube needs to be removed on the right bank.
The left cylinder bank has coil-on-plug assemblies while the right bank has more conventional spark plug caps with sealing assemblies. The coil-packs are held with two 10mm bolts each and are difficult to get to. Use universal-joint sockets and an extension.
