Headlights. the high beams work and the parking lights work but not the regualar headlights

Low and high beam headlights don't work. Parking lights, break lights, turn signals all work. Two weeks I had to buy a new battery and but before I bought the battery both low and high beam lights worked...

More than likely there is a bad ground. The same ground wire that is used for the headlights is spliced into and used for the parking lights, brake lights and directional lights. The circuits for the brake lights, the brake light switch, the directions and directional switch are related. The circuits for the parking lights, headlights, headlight switch and high/low beam switch are related as well, but the only thing all these circuits have in common is their ground source. No power to right side (PS) headlight low beam plug socket, new bulb, fuse is good. High beam works, blinker works, park light works. just no low beam and doesn't register any voltage on volt meter.

check low beam fuse when switched on if it has voltage registering across the fuse ,if there is voltage across the low beam RHS fuse then it is possibly a pinched wire from the headlight running back towards inside of the car

Low beams won't work. High beams come on with floor switch and all other lights, parking, tail lights work. Any suggestions?

Dimmer switch faulty or possibly light switch itself, or thier connectors.

Why are my headlights cutting out when i turn my high beams on?

The problem will be due to a malfunctioning headlight dimmer switch and a dimmer switch connector. Also check the high beam connector.

Lights will not turn on

HEADLIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty headlight switch or issue with its wiring. Or its faulty head light fuse.

As you described the problem the solution is to replace the headlight bulbs, they have two elements one for normal lighting or low beam and one for high beams. the elements for the low beams are continuously used and are subject to burn sooner.

if im understanding you correctly you have high beam lights but no low beam if this is the case it sounds to me like the switch is bad (the switch that controls the lights)

There are a couple of thing's that cause this, if u have DRL (daytime running lights) (Canadian models) the DRL module may be defective, if the truck did not come with DRL's then the problem is in the dimmer switch, the dimmer is a part of the turn signal switch and called the "Mulitifunction Switch", the DRL relay module is located above and behind the fuse box if u have one, the turn signal switch is easily replaced by just removing the **** shell plastic covers on the steering column, the screws that hold it on are recessed into the bottom cover, the switch is then easily removed. here is the part number of the switch. This part number is for tilt wheel models.

It should be the same parts, the site i use has parts for european models, did u have DRL's?
