Just answered a similar question. Does it turn over? Either way, I would look for blown fuse and then check (usually) under the hood for a relay. You can some times test by taking another relay for lights or something not needed to run and switch them IF THEY ARE EXACTLY the same. If the pu,p works you will know.
ls or sl two different models. 3.0 v6 has a belt kind of tricky take it to a shop. the chain on the sl or ls 4cyl 2.2 or 2.4 is also kinda tricky. the motor will be junk if you mess the timing up so leave it to a pro. there are a lot of out of work saturn guys around this would be a good side job.
Check the harmonic balancer. It's the pulley thats on the bottom of the engine in the center. Look at it with a flash light. The face of it should be flat, if it is coming apart you will see that where the belt rides has moved out away from the engine.
