To change a headlight bulb in the 2002 Trailblazer: I writing this with the orientation of standing in front of and facing the Trailblazer.
Open the hood.
Remove the plastic cover that goes from the left to right over the headlight bracket, radiator, etc. It has 4 plastic pop retainers and 2 sheet metal screws. Remove the grill center bar that passes in front of both headlights. The grill and center bar come off as one piece. Start at one end and carefully pry it out, a little at a time. There are 2 clips at the headlight and 2 clips near the center top of the grill and 2 at the bottom. Two more in the other headlight.
Each headlight has 2 black metal clips that hold the assembly onto the bracket. One is above and behind headlight assembly, towards the right end if you're working on the left headlight (and visa-versa), and the other is under the fender (it pulls up OK, but may take some patience to push it back down when you're done).
Pull the entire headlight assembly forward. I only moved mine an inch or two. On the back of the assembly are round rubber covers. Pull off the one covering the back end of the bulb that needs changing. reach in and turn to bulb clockwise 1/4 turn and it will slip out.
Unhook the connector from the bulb. It has a little catch on it, otherwise it just pulls out.
Connect the new bulb.
Reassemble everything in reverse order.
As I said, the under fender clip that holds the headlight assembly on to the bracket may take some patience. It seemed to slip down OK once I had it in exactly the right position. Either that I needed to reach the required amount of cussing.
Good Luck...

Dim on headlight not working, changed fuse, bulb, relay 15016745,and bulb connector, still want work-2002 trailblazer

Low beam's don't work , how about high beams . Low beam relay is turned on by the BCM - body control module , headlamp switch is a input to the BCM . Your best bet mite be to take it to a qualified repair shop , rather then guessing an replacing parts you don't need . Hooking up a scan tool an checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes should have been the first step before replacing parts .
The headlamp driver module (HDM) is an electronic module that provides electrical power to the vehicle low beam headlamps. The HDM is controlled by a pulse width modulated (PWM) ground signal from the body control module (BCM). The BCM determines the desired lamp intensity using the ambient light sensor, multifunction switch , wiper motor, and the park brake switch as inputs. In general, the HDM will operate in one of three modes:
• Reduced Intensity Mode: This mode is used by features that do not require or allow maximum low beam headlamp intensity such as daytime running lights (DRL) (nominal: 81% duty cycle).
• Full Intensity Mode: This mode is used by features that require full low beam headlamp intensity such as low beam headlamp operation in manual, wiper activated headlamp (WAH), or auto modes (nominal: 100% duty cycle).
• Off Mode: This is the default mode of the system that will occur when none of the features described above are active. The BCM will deactivate its PWM output (0% duty cycle) during this mode.

2004 chevy trailblazer, Both low beam headlamps are out. Headlamps replaced(same problem). Fuses are good. High beams work fine.

There should be a relay for the low beams. Locate and replace, Or swap it with another relay to see if that fixes the problem.

2002 chevy trailblazer low beam lights will not come on.

if both lamps dont work a common problem was the headlamp module. It looks like a black relay in the underhood fuse block (next to the master cylinder), there is two black small relays right next to each other (they used to say 15016745 on top in white letters.) One is for the low beams and one is for the fan clutch. Swap them and check the lamps - if the come on, go get a new one at the dealer and replace the bad one. If you leave the bad one in the fan clutch your gas mileage will be bad and your ses light will come on.
