Ok! what valve taps??? egr valve ? or rockers (tappets) if its egr valve try cleaning it out, as there a real pain when the get dirty or stuck up,,,
if its rockers try ajusting them but if its only when its cold dont worry to much about them they will close up when they warm up,,,
if you can get away with blanking off the egr valve with out the car throwing a wobbely do it??? it will give you more power and better mpg,,if you can blank it off but it may turn on the engine maniagment light?? ,

A valve tap is present on initial start up the goes away when engine warm. Any clue as to why?

It is probably a lifter tapping until oil flows up to it. Just a thought

What will be the problem if i have a taping noise when i start my car until it gets warm mitsubishi 380

A tapping noise that starts out cold and goes away when warm is usually caused by a valve lifter inside the engine. The lifter may be worn/leaking down and will be noisy until it fills with oil pressure. You can try an oil additive ( Lucas Oil Additive ) available at most part stores works very well with noisy lifters. Another noise that can happen cold and go away when warm is an exhaust manifold leak. However, this is normally a ticking type sound rather than a tapping sound.

Wont start after warming up

Likely vapor lock if one of the Carburated units.

If it is EFI, Fuel pump may not be priming as it should- look for a broken wire, Tan is the basic color.It is tapped by the priming wire from the ECU- that location of the tap may have pulled apart. A less likely possibility is the ignition module is begining to fail.

Motor is tapping after it warms up it also has gas in oil

The tapping you hear is your engine beginning to self destruct. Do not drive this vehicle until you change the oil. Then find out how the fuel is getting into the oil. On some old American cars this could happen when the fuel pump diaphragm failed. The fuel is getting into the oil pan and it has to be stopped. It will at least destroy the engine. I was riding in a car years ago that had this problem. The oil pan literally blew up. Take no chances with this one. If you must drive it to get it fixed change the oil first or have it towed.

Heater / ac fan will not come on

i THINK YOUR TALKING ABOUT YOUR BLOWER MOTOR. TO CHECK THAT JUST UNCONNECT THE ELEC CONNECTION CHECK FOR 12V WITH KEY AND SWITCH ON. IF VOLTAGE IS NOT THERE CHECK MAXI FUSE IF IT IS THERE AND MOTOR ISNT WORK IT MUST BE REPLACED. OLD TRICK TAP ON THE BLOWER MOTOR WITH KEY ON AND SWITCH ON AND IT MIGHT COME ON THATS NOT A FIX BUT WILL KEEP YOU WARM UNTIL YOU GET ONE

2002 Concorde valves tapping

How long has it been from oil change. Have you checked Oil pressure? If filter is old and dirty fluid needs to warm to be thin enough to get enough volume to valve train. If oil pump is getting weak it will not pump sufficient fluid to valves at low RPM. First change oil and filter. After that make sure pressure is in spec's.
