Easiesy way is to test for current draw. If you are familiar with using a current meter, I would pull fuses and insert the current meter until I found the circuit using power, then diagnose the offending circuit. THis will greatly reduce the places you have to look.

Note: Some small current drain will exist for the systems that are on all the time, but you are looking for something in the .5amp range or larger.

Get a volt-ammeter, and check each fuse one by one for current draw.

I have new ignition switch but when i turn the car off and take key out the car is still making a weird noise and runs my battery down over night???

Did the problem start when you installed the new switch? If so, then it's installed wrong or a bad switch. If not, then you'll have to find what's drawing power. Read this on how to do a parasitic battery draw test.

Check your convience and vanity type lighting to be sure they are shutting off( underhoodlight, glove box, back sun visor mirror lights, etc...). Next you can use a clamp on amp draw gun and follow the draw thru the harness to the problem. This tool is available at most auto parts stores. Also, just because a battery is new doesn"t mean it Good!

Battery keeps going dead when not on i have put a new battery and 3 new altinators

How long do you leave car standing for??

Need specialised gear to check for this (Ammeter of at least 20amps, voltmeter)

With all doors closed place ammeter across -ve battery terminal (Battery terminal removed. (Be aware BEFORE doing so you will need the stereo code to make it work again)
Measure any current draw. Should be zero. If there is current draw, if its below 1.5 to 2 amps then a light is on somewhere, boot, glove box under bonnet.

To eliminate current draw you may need to disconnect main poer feed to alterantor, which will eliminate it in test.

I just recently replaced my altinator and battery and everytime i try to start it its dead what are some possible problems?

possible problems are endless, could be the voltage regulator, could just be some sort of drain in the electrical system ie a dome light that is burnt out but maybe the switch is in the on position. when you jump it it starts up? Does it click when you try and start it? It could be the starter or starter solenoid and not a power issue. hope this helps

If i leave the battery connected overnightit

NO the alarm does not draw that much current for it to drain the battery. Look for a light bulb like the one under the hood or the glove box. The other thing to is if you have a rear wiper for the window, it's been know for the wiper arm not to return full back to it's neutral position due to corrosion at the shaft and the motor will draw current trying to pull the wiper arm back to the neutral position. Try pulling the fuse to the rear wiper motor from the fuse box and see if the battery stops draining. Good luck and hope this helps friend.

Battery dead every morning

Something is shorting out (drawing power but not returning it to the battery)
Make sure you don't have any accessories plugged in and running or anything else running or on when you go to bed at night as this would draw down the power!
I'm assuming you have to jump start it every mourning.
Is that correct?
If so the new battery and alternator will be strained and go again soon!
Go to an auto parts store like Advanced Auto Parts and have your battery and alternator tested (they do this for free) and may be able to verify that you have a power draw somewhere!
A jury rig fix would be to put a battery disconnect (available at any auto parts store and pretty easy to install) at the terminal to the battery and disconnecting every night but that won't fix the power draw.
What was the original problem that led you to change the battery and alternator?
