the shop that told you they ripped it out only ripped you off unless they removed some aftermarket alarm system i,m a gm mechanic and if you remove the factory anti-theft on a 2003 olds alero it will not run ever again until re-installed make sure your battery is charged good turn igntion switch to run position but do not try to start security light should be flashing let car sit with switch on and light flashing for ten minutes light should stop flashing now start your car this is how to reset anti-theft was that worth $400.00 and again why let a bussiness named brakemax look at a no start condition keep on and you will be BROKE to the max HOPE THIS HELPS AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM YOUR FRIEND @ HELPMAX
check to see if the security light or anti theft light flashes. if that is the case, sounds like the bypass for the remote starter may be causeing the no start by tripping the anti theft system. Remove remote starter and bypass system and join any cut wires back together that may be cut for remote starter. Try starting, if theft light still flashes leave key in the on position after attempted start for 15 minutes till theft light goes solid, turn off and try again. Repeat process for three times to re-learn factory theft system in vehicle. If problem still persists, then take to your local dealer to reprogram factory theft module in the cluster.
could be your anti theft system needs to be reset. turn your key to the on position for ten min, turn it off and then back to the on position for ten more min it should reset your key. anti theft cuts off your fuel supply so it can't be stolen
My 2000 cavalier has done this for 6 months. You take your key out then open your door, wait ten minutes and the system resets itself and the car will start-annoying you bet!!!
The computer needs to have a very good ground also check the wires going into the computer and make sure nothing came loose and there is no rust on the connections. If this does not correct your problem put the computer back in its factory location and try it
i dont know about that but be carful because iv read that there are security sensors in the wiring of the radio its called rats radio anti-theft system if tampered with it may cause ur car to lock up and not start until u take it to a mazda dealer or mechanic and they do a factory reset which may be very costly
