Fan making clanking noise like it is hitting something the part seems to be located in the lower left front passenger side

sounds like blower motor fan for heat, the motor itself can be going bad or something is hitting fan blade inside heater box, I have seen all different things in heater boxes including acorns , leaves and general debris causing noises when fan for heater runs, you need to take it apart and check for anything that might be hitting fan if not motor is going bad and needs replacement, good luck.

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

What's your problem?the fan for the heater quit working

I'm assuming the heat for the inside of your car. Does it work at all? On any of the speed setting? If it doesn't check fuses, check for power and ground at fan. Or if you can see it just bang on it with your fist sometimes that will get it working temp.

I believe the heater fan is broken on my son's 98

its located above the passengers feet. If it makes noise you should be able to find it.

95 buick regal two fans in front , one make clicking noise after vehicle turned off. Its continues to spin and makes a clicking noise after turning off engine

It is normal for the fan to stay on after the engine is off. The clicking is not. Once the negine is cooled down and the fan is not running. check the fan by spinning it and try to locate the clicking noise. Make sure the fan doesn't wobble. If it does then the bearings are going out, replace the fan. The clicking could be something lodged in the shroud, clicking against the fan blade. Like a stick.

I have a chrysler town and country and it is overheating... there is a knocking noise under the dash behind the a/c an radio... the heater doesnt work all the time either what do i need to do fix it?

check the coolant level as a low level can cause overheating and a knocking noise in the heater box as air is in the system causing the noise and no heat.change the thermostat and refill the system and make sure all the air is out of the system and the overflow bottle is at the full mark.it could also be a bad head gasket that should be checked with a block test if the above doesn`t fix problem.make sure the cooling fan is working properly at the radiator.

My 2003 rodeo fan blower sounds like it has something stuck in the fan when engaged. The sound resemble a "card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel noise"...

It is possible that there is something in the fan cage. More than likely it will be a piece of paper, such as a receipt. You will need to locate the fan blower, remove it, and check what is inside. This should take care of your problem.

Heater fan noise-'02 Nissan Maxima

Had same problem. Replace Blower Motor. Over a 100 dollars at local parts store, but found online for half price. About 30 minutes to replace. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?carcode=1431961&parttype=6916
6 screws to remove glove box, One plastic nut on kick panel and 3 screws hold the blower to the air box.
