Porsche carrera 4s,windows are both up,battery is disconnected, can't get the trunk open!

Behind the passenger side wheel covers, up towards the front bumper, is a stainless steel braided cable with a loop. Pull this to manually open the trunk. It is well hidden and an emergency solution to opening the trunk if the servo has failed, your fuse box power connection fails, or you have no power. Good luck

The battery is dead, so how do I get the trunk opened?

I found a website that finds a way to jump the car without having battery access. It is actually fairly simple. Follow these instruction: http://perryandcoblog.com/2009/11/17/porsche-carrera-911-996-dead-battery-locked-hood-solution/ Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!

How can i charge a porsche 911 carrera 4 1989 battery from the rear since the hood will not open with a dead battery

Do you have an owners Manual, it may have refferance to this type of problem, should it ever ocure. Also for in the future it might be a good idea to purchase a repair manual, Haynes or Chiltons are both very good repair manuals for the do it yourselfers, @ most Automotive Parts Stores cary them. However I would locate the starter on the vehicle and connect a jumper cable to the starter ( this would be the Red Positive cabls ) where the battery cable connects to the starter and the ground cable to a good grounding spot near by. Connect the other two cable leads to the battery you intend to put in the vehicle to replace the old one and this should get you into the trunk. Make sure when you hook the cable clamp to the positive termanel on the starter you do not come in contact with any other exposed wire terminals. Good Luck and Happy New Year.
