Battery was dead and had to jump start and then the car did start OK, but then the car alarm came on and now won't shut off!!! This car was bought used and has no key fob...just the key with the chip embedded on it. How can we turn off the alarm (car is in to get a new battery right now)

When you jump start are you putting earth to the body/chassis or to the battery??

Hi, hopefully you know where your emergency disarm switch is. If your led is pod mounted, i.e. underdash it usually behind it. Connect your jump battery, turn on ignition, push button, alarm should shutdown, and go into valet. Then you should be able to start your vechicle. Hope that helps.

try resetting alarm lower drivers side window and take out keys,disconnect battery and fully charge it , when you reconnect battery alarm will go off ,put key in drivers side door and turn key all the way open and all the locked 3 times then remove key that should reset alarm.

Could be the battery is dead or dieing. When batteries start to go they will cause the security to act up. Plus other things

It could be the starter, but i would start with having your battery load tested. Sounds like that is the problem. I hope this helps.

Disconnect your car battery for 30 minutes. Plug it back in.

try reseting the alarm/immobiliser.

Basically that battery is completely dead so when you try to jump it it turns the alarm back on. U gotta buy a new battery and when you install it immediately hit the disarm button and you should be ok. If it doesnt turn off you may want somebody with you to help putting the car in the on postion as soon as you connect the battery to turn off the alarm. Also try putting the key in the door and manually unlock the door with the key to disarm the battery

find the fuse for the alarm and pull it out tha=is should solve it, but means you have no alarm
