but what code-- a misfire in what cylinder -- the misfired cylinder might have bad wire, wrong gap, crack at distributor -if random misfire at different cylinders could be anything from fuel -pump-filter -throttle body- vacuum leak-distributor-evap-system multi choices if random.recheck the parts that were put in during tune up wires /no breaks plugs/ right gap heat range dist vacuum line no leaks wires and cap clean proper seat like i said multi things can be problem

96 Jimmy runs better in cold weather than warm

Hi Buc, have a look at all the intake manifold ducting and make sure nothing is broken and leaking air. Also make sure that all vacuum hoses are fitted tight and correctly and they are not loose, broken or cracked. It will be better to check each by disconnecting, checking and refitting. Let me know how you get on. Have a happy new year. Regards John

The engine is "suddenly" running

many things could have gone wrong. Although you have told us what happened in the way you know best, there is very little info for us to go on. Did you run the vehicle hot? What are the plugs looking like? Were there any lites that lit up on the dashboard when this started? Has the motor acted at all hesitant to start or run just before this?
I can only offer you things to check. Such as blown head gasket, minor/major tune up, fuel filters, fuel pump and the likes. I'm sorry I can't give a more detailed answer. Hope this gives you somewhere to start. Good luck.

Rough idle(rich) stalls in gear

Basically clean up before use like opening the plugs and adjusting the spark gaps, spray some carb cleaner at the intake & if The soud of the engine smoothens even slightly, then add some it to the fuel in the fuel filter & gun the engine a few time. Flush the radiator and fill in frsh coolant/water. Check the level of water in the battery and top up with distilled water. Clean the air filter and check fan belt tightness. After these small maintenace checks it should run OK.......sodeep
