You need to see the dealer to sort this out. But ask why they didn't keep the system powered up wnen the battery is replaced, that avoids this problem as no memory or function is lost. Shame on whimever did this battery r and r
When the radio ask for CODE, is asking about unlock code (this occurs when the battery is disconnected); you need enter this unlock code.
Generally this code is located in the owners manual or backside of the radio; if you dont have this info, need to visit the dealer and, with your VIN number, ask for this code number.
Keep in mind that this unlock code is unique for each vehicle, and anyone coudl send you from Internet.
I have disconnect the battery from my mitsubishi eclipse rs 99 and now the radio ask me for a code I never remove from the car what can I do or how I can get a free code for my car
With my mitsubishi eclipse there was a little red card with a security code on it and i kept it in with the owners manual and everything, but if you don't have one of those call the dealership...
You need to call Dealer or stop at one to get proper code for your radio. You can check owners manual for reprogramming instructions. If not there I would suggest googling it.
Hi there,
Had a few problems with my car and removed the battery. So I too needed the code. By using the numbers you assign to each radio station is how I entered the code then just hit am/fm. The code I used for my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse is 1571. Good Luck,
this is quite a common fault which i hear, the only way to obtain the code is to hope the previoous owner or the person who fitted stereo is wise enough to write it down in your handbook. if it a factory fitted stereo then the manufacturer keps a log of it and will provide it to you for a small fee.
