Why should i not go down battery size cca in my 98 dodge ram 1500 is 650 cca okay for afew days or will it mess something up

It will work fine. The CCA is a rating of how much power that the battery is capable of delivering at once and as the name suggests, cold cranking amps, is needed more in cold temperatures. As long as you are not in the arctic, it should be fine for a couple of days.

96 dodge ram 1500 5.2 himi starts then dies if my foot is not on the gas

Check to see if it is not your 'idle speed motor'. About the size of your thumb on the back side of the throttle body. Also, and I know it sounds simple, check your air cleaner.

Can replacement battery with higher CCA than old one do damage?

Your starter will draw what it needs from the battery. The extra reserve in the battery won't be used except under adverse conditions, when you'll be glad you have it. Besides physical size and weight, that should not be a problem.

HI. This vehicle only requires a maximum of 750 cranking Amps; ((640 Cold)). A regular name brand Gold-Duralast 12 volt cell will be sufficient for this vehicles needs.

1987 dodge ram 50 pickup 4 cyl engine. Put in new battery with 630 CCA and won't turn it over. How big of battery would we need?

That battery is big enough. I would look at the starter. try hitting the starter with a hammer, pipe or steel rod. Hit the starter not the solenoid. Then try starting it. if it starts turning better or starts the engine, replace the starter. If that doesn't work let me know and we can go from there.

Battery size for 1994 dodge colt

Just as a general rule of thumb, I don't buy a battery with less than 700 CCA (cold cranking amps). Depending on where you live, it may need to be more or less. Check your old battery (if you have it) and see how many CCA it has.
