Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.7 V8:
Has dual heat/ac controls.
Recently started operating so that when using heat, heat only comes out driver side and either ac or outside air is coming out passenger side vents, no matter what you set the temp at.
A mechanic friend said he has heard of this before and thought there was a recall or some form of fix from Jeep. Would appreciate any help!
there is no recall from jeep (there should be) your blend doors are damaged or broken. jeep will quote you around £800 to fix. log on to heatertreater.net they have a diy quick fix that will last the life of jeep. you can install the new blend doors that are metel (not stupid plastic ones jeep use) in around half an hour, this really does work as i have installed a few of these kits with no problems.
hope this helps
