Sounds like window is leaning. you might have to physically hold window in alignment then try putting it down. if not remove the other plastic piece and take window out, replace window mounts and put window back in.

I Slammed my driver's door and the window slid down now it won't go up or down I did find a piece in door where cable goes broke off I don't know where it goes or where it came from I do know that the

Replace the window regulator, it comes with the motor. You have common sense to get the panel off.. You have enough to replace the regulator..Those plastic pieces aren't accessible or repairable. Been threre, tried that..

The windows wont go up on my 1996 buick park avenue i need to know where the fuse for the window is and other possible problems

I have an '03 buick regal and I've had window regulator problems, as many other buick owners have. After the third regulator breaking, and close inspection of broken pieces, every regulator failed and broke in the same identical spot. The weak part is on the regulator guide where the end cables connect in a plastic "housing". On my latest replacement regulator, before installing I made a small re-inforcement piece out of aluminum to back up the weak plastic piece. I've had no problems or breakage since. So I also took apart the other 3 window regulators and upgraded them before they broke...again.

The cable has come off the front passenger window. Can't see how it hooks back onto lifting mechanism.

I had all four of my windows do this on my 2000 bville. There is a small plastic piece that hooks to both ends of the cable and slides up and down the rail to pull the window up and down. This plastic piece broke on all four of my windows and let the cable fall. I fixed it cheap though. I took apart each door and pulled out the motor/slide/pulley assembly and wired it back together with coat hanger wire. It was a lot of work, but beat paying 160 dollars per window for new assembly (that would probably break again!)

The latch that opens the Trunk (Hatchback - as it is a minivan) is broken. I cannot open the back...

If you still have the broken piece, you can try to use that to try to open the back. Otherwise, you have to open it from the inside.
I changes mine in 2007 so if memory serves me, I had to remove the back panel and pull on the cable to open the door.

Now to see and pull on the cable, and replace the latch, you have to take off the inside liner/panel to get to the latch to replace it. This took about 2 careful hours to replace.

The trick is to get the two side pieces off.
These two plastic pieces are next to the window on the left and right sides. Each piece is about 3 inches wide and 18 inches long. Using a strong grip, or a pry bar or large screwdriver, take off both pieces. There are three clip areas that holds each piece in.

If you are using a tool, be careful to protect the area by wrapping a towel on the screwdriver/tool.

After that the bottom liner piece pulls away and you can see the latch.
There are two screws/bolts that holds the latch.

The two pieces snaps back in pretty easily.

You probably broke the plastic piece shaped like a J.
You can try to glue the pieces back, but note that the piece broke due to age. I changed the whole assembly - good for another 7 yrs. I could not find just the plastic piece.

My power hatch release wont open so i cant get my tailgate open

I have the same problem, when I took the door apart I found that there is a plastic extension on the end of cyclinder that moves in and out on that electric motor you hear. Well the plastic extension is broken off and that is what moves the lever to open your window latch. I tryed Krazy Glue with JB weld to fix the plastic piece but the first release of the window it just broke off again so I'll have to order a new one. You can't just order the plastic extension according to Chevy you have to order the motor aswell about $80.00 CAD.
To get the door apart yourself, I just pulled out on the plastic trim on top enough to get a long narrow screw driver down there and you will see a brass like lever in the shape of a L , you want to push that to the left to release the window latch, and then you can unscrew the plastic trim properly and go from there.

Window on rt passenger side went down inside door. Took off inside of door and wire (liking hanging a painting wire) makes a loop but is connected at the top. What do I need to do?

Being raised a farm girl, I do what I need to do at the time to get by. So I took apart my door, pushed the window back up, stuck a piece of fire wood in there to hold it up and wrapped electrical tape (since I couldn't find the duct tape) around the wood and the metal bar that the window slides up and down in. JUST IN TIME before it downpoured. Getting it fixed proper today! When you are in a pinch you do what you have to do. A country girl can survive!
