Hello stephen_dama: My name is Roger and I will help you. Locate the fuse box under the hood. Just about center of the box. Next to the fuel pump relay you will see a fuse marked B/U LP. This is the back up lamp fuse. The top of the fuse box should have a fuse diagram in the top of it.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. This way I know the information helped you. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

My 2001 s10 blows a 30 amp fuse under the hood when i put it in gear. Runs fine. Starts fine. Is my nss bad?

Try starting it in N and then shifting into drive. If the fuse does not blow, then you may have a problem with the back up light system grounding out.
If it still blows, the check in the shifter tube to see if there are any bare wires.

the dash sound's like a fuse, check the fuse box under the hood and in the door jamb on the side of the dash, also check your fuel filter and fuel pump, im betting on the pump because i have a 2001 chevy blazer that has had two replaced and it has 233000km on it!

1998 Chevy S10 pickup backup lights don't work

Yes it screws in on right side of tramission and you will need a 7/8 inch deep socket to remove it. You may be able to clean the old one once it is removed. There is a little ball thatgets dirty and may you can get by with cleaning it. Good Luck. Ed
