NO- every radio has it's own unique code to prevent theft. serial numbers will allow you to get a code from the net or take the car to a dealer and see if the code has been recorded
Not normally like mobile phones most have random code but you can take it to a garage and they can send it off to get it reset doesn't usually cost too much - cheaper than a new radio.

that radio may plug in but the code gonna be a infinity code the mitsubishi wont accept you need a sony ,jvc ,keenwood or other i have an original radio for the eclipse if you want it and the cd player if your isnt working

Had a few problems with my car and removed the battery. So I too needed the code. By using the numbers you assign to each radio station is how I entered the code then just hit am/fm. The code I used for my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse is 1571. Good Luck,
