I have a 1998 corvette convertible and the driver-side window won't go down. All the other controls on the switch function. When I push the button for the window it makes a noise , but nothing happens. Is the problem the regulator motor or the control module? Can you give a step-by-step instruction on how to trouble-shoot?
It sounds like you have power coming out of the switch to the motor because of what you hear. So that pretty much leaves you with a window regulator problem. Make sure there's no binding action between window & frame
Renew the complete motor assembly inside the door .not difficult but you will need assistant to hold the glass up when you remove the old assembly
