The crank position sensor can be found in the front of the crank on the engine block below or next to the water pump in many applications. It can also be located on the main crank pully or the flywheel. The orientation of each make and model's engine is different, so the position sensor could be near your fender or near your front bumper depending on the car.

C1623 is with in the chassis sensors P1148, P1623, P1676 is in the ECM not on my list of codes not sure what it is. call parts house and they can tell you what it is. PO343 is camshaft position sensor circuit high input. P1148 not sure not on my list of codes they may be in the newer codes list but I don't have an updated list

2001 jetta vr6 cranks but won't start have fuel and spark replaced camshaft sensor, new plugs valve cover gasket got code of PO343 and PO740

code po740 refers to torque converter clutch(TCC) solenoid-circuit malfunction==causes --wiring--TCC solenoid-ECM/TCM
code p0343 refers to cam shaft position sensor(CMP) A bank1-high input.==causes --wiring short to positive--CMP sensor---ECM. check which cam sensor you replaced and check the wiring connectors. use a code reader to reset the cpu when finished

I got a code of po343,po135,,po326....when its in park rpms seem fine,,,when put it in drive it totaly losses power and wont go over 1500 rpms
