1st pull it down and make sure it has power to it. If it does remove it and send it out to a local Ford approved repair center. A company called Speedotach does this repair.
Front Door Trim Panel
Removal and Installation NOTE: Left front door trim panel shown, right front door trim panel similar.
Remove the exterior mirror mounting hole cover.
If equipped, remove the window regulator handle.
Position the window regulator handle cover aside.
Remove the window regulator handle screw and regulator handle.
If equipped, remove the window control switch plate.
Disconnect the window control switch electrical connectors and if equipped, the memory set switch electrical connector.
If equipped, remove the front door trim panel reflector or the courtesy lamp lens.
Remove the screws.
CAUTION: Do not pull directly outward on front door trim panel, as damage will occur. NOTE: Remove the front door trim panel by pulling it straight upward. Lift and remove the front door trim panel.
If equipped, twist the courtesy lamp connector one half turn and remove it from the front door trim panel.
CAUTION: Insert the lower panel tabs first or they can break when installing the front door trim panel. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
sounds like thats your problem,the drivers door is the one that goes bad the most,switch is located in door latch.youll have to remove door panel,and maybe latch,call a ford dealer and ask if you could buy just the switch or do you have to replace latch asm.
you need to remove door trim panel there are (2) 7mm screws that hold panel on .. 1 is behind the lower red light lens and the other is behind switch panel for the power window switch . remove both screws and remove small black panel above door trim by pulling strait off .(now there are (4) 11mm nuts the hold mirror on 2 are behind the small
rubber plugs in front of door that you can see with panel on and the
other 2 are under panel that you can see after panel is removed . the wiring need to be disconneced you may have to remove speaker for acess to feed new wiring down into the door good luck
