We have the 05 2.5i with cloth interior. Here is your answer which I'm quoting from the LEGACYGT.COM web site: "at the front of the seat, pull up towards the ceiling, then forward"......Here is the web address of the relevant thread/posts: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13578

2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT. How do I put a KEY immobilizer back into my key case?

Question edited got clarity and remove 'hood speak'.
Question moved to model category.

The alarm system and engine immobilizer needs reprogramming. You need an auto locksmith or an auto electrician, or the dealership

1990 subaru Legacy L 2.2L car will stall while driving, and the green power light flashes as it stalls.

have a look at the fuel pump( they loose pump pressure or sees, fuel pump relay, and the fuel pump wiring connector under the rear seat this connector starts to melt sometimes due to bad connection of the pins inside.

Is there an access pannel under the rear seat of 1999 subaru legacy outback to access the top side fuel tank?

Yes, under the rear seat bottom on a sedan or behind the rear seat back on the panel under the carpet on the cargo area, right behind the seat back, screws hold the panel on, fuel pump right below it, easy to replace...I just did mine,1998 Legacy Wagon.

Stalls fuel pressure goes to 50.

faulty fuel pump or filter ,the vehicle speed sensor usually applies to the braking system but i suppose it could affect the PCM in an adverse way thinking the engine requires more fuel ?

WHat are some symptoms of a Subaru legacy fuel pump

The car won't start.

Lift up the rear back seat base cushion.
Turn the ignition on and listen for the fuel pump operation under the seat. If you hear no sound, then pull off the inspection panel there, and remove the fuel pump. Replace it, and retry.
This occurs on the Legacy from time to time, and I've replaced a few.

2003 subaru legacy 2.5L engine misfire at cruse after climbing a long grade all

Sounds likely to be the fuel filter which is located under the hood on the left hand side close to the brake master cylinder. It is of the cartridge type, so if it has not been serviced lately, throw it away and get a new one.

1995 subaru impreza looking to purchase, how reliabl is the transmission it's a manual?

very. the manual box is quite tough, as are most subaru parts. I have had a lot of imprezas and a legacy and they are quite bullet-proof except for a fuel starvation fault in hard-tuned turbo models but that due to fuel rail design and too much boost ;)

How do you change the fuel filter on a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT, and how often should this be changed.

you'll need to jack up your car and pull your fuse for the fuel pump.. run the car until it stalls out from not getting any fuel... then disconnect the clamp that connects from the filter to the gas tank and let any residual gas drain into a container... remove the clamp on the other side of the filter and then reverse the order.... once it's back in, put the fuse back in and turn the key until all your dash lights turn on (On Position) and leave for about 20 seconds... The pump will prime and then you can start the car, may take a few tries before it will start.... It should be changed about every 5 years, but that's only a recommendation, some filters last less, some last longer
