Hi the lower hose on the fire wall of my ford taurus is leaking very bad and i am trying to find out how it can be fixed do i need to fix all off the hoses or can i just fix the lower one and how hard is the job to do and how much is this to replace because it seems like it is a high pressure hose made out of eather plastis or metal
The lower radiator hose is sold separately and an easy fix but first drain the radiator and it must be cold.
Yeah years ago those hoses called it to heater core what I would do is if the hose is long enough and you have a little extra Slack cut it off real neat and reinstall it and if that does not stop it it's leaking from in side and hasn't yet showed water signs on your floorboard good luck have a good day
When you say "hose" it could be to the heater inside the car. If the problem is outside it's not that big a deal to replace ... however if the break is inside the car, depending on the model, part of the dash will need to be removed. If it is the heater hose they are not high pressure. If they look like aluminum you may be referring to the Air Conditioner lines. If one is leaking you will need an AC guy. (unfortunately) specialty tools is required to evacuate the system, replace the line, do a vacuum test again to see that it doesn't leak, then re-charge the system and test.

One hose is reference the other is pressure, the hoses are different sizes, do you have the factory high-temp silicone hoses required? they are different sizes so you can't mix them up, vacuum hose will burn up in short order, the failure of this sensor is almost always caused by excessive exhaust back pressure, you may have a cat converter starting to plug up.

remove the radiator hose remove the two bolts that hold the tube on and buy new tube and replace is in reverse order.

the rubber hoses and metal tubes are all sold separately at your Ford dealer
