I have a 2001 yukon XL. The coolant is evaporating slowly. Every few thousand miles, the low coolant light comes on. Dealer cant find the problem. Instead of going back to the dealer every time can I add the coolant directly to the overflow tank and top it off? I have the orange coolant, dex . Thanks.
Coolant doesnt evaporate out of the engine. it has to be going somewhere find a shop that can add some uv dye into your radiator and check for leaks
Testimonial: "I dont think the dealer checked for that yet. They did a block test and pressure tested it, all normal. I will call them and ask. THANKS!"

Hi I have the same vehicle with the exact samem problem. Im wondering if you ever found the issue. I am being told it could be a head gasket because throuhg all of the pressure testing they found no external leaks. I do not have the money to repair oreplace. Any thoughts.
