Hi I have the same vehicle with the exact samem problem. Im wondering if you ever found the issue. I am being told it could be a head gasket because throuhg all of the pressure testing they found no external leaks. I do not have the money to repair oreplace. Any thoughts.

Coolant doesnt evaporate out of the engine. it has to be going somewhere find a shop that can add some uv dye into your radiator and check for leaks

My 2001 Yukon XL will tap when idling and the check engine oil pressure light comes on until I give it some gas then it goes away and tapping stops. What is this problem?

Without hearing it, I can only guess. Collapsed lifter or loose connecting rod bearing.

High miles? Maintenance not done on schedule? That would do it.

Low coolant level in 2003 yukon after radiator flush

When coolant gets drained and refilled air bubbles are often trapped inside the cooling system. If you imagine pouring a soft drink and you see all the little bubbles sticking to the sides of your glass, you'll get the idea. After driving those bubbles eventually "burp" their way up to the top, and consequently the coolant level drops. Top it up one more time and my guess is you'll be good to go.

When my 2001 yukon reach 35 miles on the odomator, it reves up and want change into the next gear!

You have a transmission problem, and there is very little the average person can do except check the fluid and make sure that it is getting coolant. So I would recommend that you check the fluid (and the feel of it also) and make sure it isn't overheating (is getting coolant flow) and if neither of those are the problem to take it to the professionals. I don't recommend a chain transmission shop because they have a tendency to do more that what is required and to charge more.

well so if i understand right you have no oil in the vehicle? or have you checked the oiil dipstick, GM is known to burn oil so if you go alot more than three thousand miles between oil changes than that will cause the oil to burn off and cause the lights to come on, or you might have a leaky filter or drain plug and its loosing oil, so first pull he diptick check level and if you need oil just go get an oil change and they snould let you know of any leaks there may be

My Yukon XL is burning oil and has been since around 29,000 miles, it now has 39,000 miles. Have had the Yukon to a professional dealer and several problems were found but it still needs a quart of oil at...

Hello, 1 quart in three thousand miles, great, awesome, wonderful don't worry about it. As long as you know it. This is normal for a lot of engines. For many Chrysler Motor Co. there engine would use a quart of oil in the first 500 miles and after that, none. Oil change, another quart in 500 miles.
I would drive that Chevy around the world. I wish you many hundreds of thousands of miles. GB..stewbison

overheating can be caused by stuck shut t-stat but u would have heat at-stat stuck open no overheating and no heat. a waterpump that the impeller broke or rotted of can cause your problem but rarly seen does your fan work or any leakage or low coolant can cause air pocket and overheating no heat. let me know and we go foward
