My 2000 Lincoln LS V8 is idling very high. I've sprayed WD40 on the visible throttle area. When moving from the park posoton to any other gear, the car jerks as if the transmission is going out. Also the car is running hella lean. A full tank of gas lasts maybe 3 days. What can be the issue?
May have a bad idle air control valve for the idle and also have o2 sensors checked for your fuel problem, good luck.
A manifold leak ,dry-rotted vacuum lines also contribute to high rpm ....is there any visible signs of gasoline on the ground try using a piece of cardboard to see if any fluid gets on it also open the hood and check for visible leaks or missing cracked vacuum lines etc but sounds like a vacuum leak
