SOURCE: 1992 Honda Prelude Timing Belt Diagram

There's no such thing as a timing belt diagram.

Do you mean to say the "Procedure" for changing a timing belt in a 92 Prelude?

By asking such a question I can only interpret it as a clear indication that you've never changed a timing belt before.

If this is true, then you don't want to start out or practice on your own car.

Get the car to a pro and have the job done right.

If not true (and you've changed timing belt's in the past)

Then give me the engine size and I'll post the:

"PROCEDURE" for changing the belt in a few hours.

1992 Honda prelude 2.3 litre. The owner says it fires and turn over but it won't stay running. He said he thought it was a timing problem but I think it's the fuel pump ?

i think both ideas are reasonable.....test fuel pressure first since is easier that timing chaing or belt possibilities.

Do i need to change the timing belt on my 1998 honda prelude

Eventually yes. Wether it is needed now or not depends on what the vehicle is doing. It would be a good idea to replace it before it breaks as it will be much easier and less expensive in the long run. If you wait till it breaks you will end up having to have the heads repaired on top of everything else.

HOW TO CHANGE THE WATER PUMP

There isn't really an easy way, as the water pump is driven by the timing belt, requiring removal of the timing covers, timing belt etc to replace. This is definitely a job for a mechanic, or at least a skilled handyman with a lot of experience with timing belt replacement. The timing belt and tensioner will need to be replaced at the same time, but at least then you know that it will not need to done again for 100,000 kms (60,000 miles).
