I have a 2001 Toyota RAV4. When I try to wash the windshield, the water only dribbles out of the nozzles on the hood. There seems to be no pressure. Is there any way to fix it myself? Hilary

2012 Toyota RAV4 passenger floor wet after it rains. Leak stains on left side under glove compartment. Doesn't happen every time it rains. I just bought it this summer 2023, when it wasn't raining.

Question edited for clarity, add maker.
Question moved to model category.

Based on our research the RAV4s with wet floors are usually, but not always, clogged sunroof drains or drain outlets. Other RAV4 owners found that the body trim surrounding their windshield or even the fender panel had degraded and failed, allowing water to seep in during heavy rain.

Why would my 1997 RAV4 A/C have lost power when my windshield leaked on the passenger side of my car?

Could be a coincidence. Just try to trace back the electrical wires and see where one is bad, or perhaps even has a shortage, causing the fuse to blow.
Impossible to do a diagnose without being under the hood myself.

Changed water pump on rav4 and now it won't start due to immobiliser how do I reset that

With the engine off and cold, open the hood and locate the vehicle's radiator and water pump. Remove the radiator cap.Install a pressure tester on the radiator. Apply the pressure indicated on the radiator cap or in the owner's manual. Inspect the water pump for leaks. Remove the pressure tester. Place a drain pan under the radiator. Open the drain valve or remove the lower radiator hose to drain the cooling system.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not enough pressure to pump fluid to the windshield

I just fixed one today that had scale on the inlet of the washer motor suction inside the washer bottle. I have poured vinegar inside the bottles and dissolved the scale so you could pump it out.

Windshield washer not working. Have filled it several times but water level goes down when operated but does not come out of nozzle.

Check the hose from the container to the wipers and see if it came disconnected from either place and check for a broken or cracked hose.

I cannot find the front window screen wiper pipes to clear them to work the water from the front wipers, Toyota Hiace 1994,

if the nozzles are not on the hood, they may be in the wiper arms themselves, I have seen them under the vent grille at the bottom of the windshield as well, you should be able to see the hoses under the hood at the base of the windshield

Windshield washer problem

Disconnect the line at the pump and see if there is adiquate flow and pressure. If so reconnect and check for a kink in the line. If not try and back wash the system, meaning disconnect at the pump and force the water in the opposite direction from the lines in an attempt to dislodge any thing that may have gotten stuck in the line.
