My did this recently. I went into the engine bay. Directly on the middle of the firewall you will see the heater core hose coming off the firewall going to a plastic boxy thing. That thing has a thin black "cable" going to it. It looks like the cable for a bicycle brake. This cable attaches to a metal prong. That prong regulates the hot coolant that goes through the heater core to heat up the air.
Go ahead and push down on the prong that the black "cable" attaches to. It should push down about 1" with minimal force. Dont go putting a million pounds of force on it.
Thats what I did with mine and it stated working. Post up if it worked!
