I think the compression pressure from each cylinder needs to be checked. There are built-up carbon residues around valve seats causing poor compression hence losing power under load. If this is a case then only a valve job could improve the situation. Depending on the mileage, worn out piston rings could contribute to the reduction of compression ratio, but it can be determined at the time of the valve job. Good luck.

May be your engine needs overhauling with new rings etc. It is a 16 year old car after all. Does it leave black soot if you accelerate when loaded? Or put a finger in the silencer (when it is cold) and see of it turns out black with oily soot.

2000 Buick LeSabre Limited. 6 cylinder. 32,000 mi. Engine shuddering under load. Computer code indicates random misfire. Lots of things can be replaced from coils to plugs to cables to injectors to vaccum...

Start by testing. You can pull the plugs and see if one or all of them look bad. This can indicate which cylinder(s) are misfiring. Then I would start with checking for spark, using spark plug wire pliers pull each wire and see if it arcs, if it doesnt then that means that you have a bad coil. Then check your wires for any damage and then check them with an ohm meter. If all that checks out then I would do a fuel pressure check. And somewhere along the line do a good check for broken vacuum hoses and bad wires.

1993 Buick LeSabre surges and almost dies intermittently

Check fuel rail pressure.

Add fuel to beyond 1/2 tank.

A weak fuel pump do not like to ran low on gas.

When was the last gas filter and fuel pump change?

90-120,000 miles is the typical change out.

Fuel pump like to quit on a HOT day.

Test the pressure and see is it within specification.

Good luck

1991 lesabre wont start after shutting down. If it sits a few hours starts up great again. changed plugs, plug wires, coil pack, and Ignition control module but still same problem. ran a little rough but...

Best to do a fuel pressure test, pump might be weak and dosent show up until it gets gets warm. Best to do the test after it quits again when pump is at its hottest. If you havent done it yet chg. fuel filter too.

Acts like there is water in the gas

The system is dependent on the impulses from the crank and cam sensors for ignition to work properly, and the fuel system depends on tach pulses from the ignition in order to dispense fuel. If you lose spark, you lose fuel too. Check the sensors.
