if the battery is completely dead... there is a way to open the trunk from the inside. it involves putting the rear seat down. in the middle under the back window theres an emergency rear seat release. lower the seat, and then pull emergency trunk release on the top of the trunk door. hope this helped.
Victoria, Fold down rear seat back, to access trunk space. Your vehicle is equipped with a release handle that provides a means of escape for children and adults if they become locked inside the trunk/luggage compartment. The handle is located inside the trunk/luggage compartment either on the luggage compartment door (lid) or near the tail lamps. It is composed of a material that will glow for hours in darkness following brief exposure to ambient light.
Pull the handle and push up on the luggage compartment door (lid) to open from within the luggage compartment.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Most vehicles that have a power release, also have a manual release. Check inside the vehicle, around the location of the outside filler door. You might have a removable panel, that will reveal the fuel door release cable.
When you press the trunk open button, do you hear any "release" noise come from the trunk area? The issue may be a bad battery in the key fob OR there could be an issue with the transmitter located inside the vehicle. Do the doors lock and unlock properly? is the vehicle equipped with security or immobilizer? please advise
Hi Your S class has two batteries. The smaller one is located in the engine bay, and the bigger one in the boot (trunk). No need to access any of them, simply open the door with key, insert key to start engine, you will notice that not all ignition lights will come on, but the engine WILL start, and the batteries will be recharged after a short while.
Hello If your vehicle has lost battery power, open the hatch/trunk using the vehicle key. The key lock cylinder is located on the rear of the hatch/trunk lid above the license plate. Turn the vehicle key clockwise in the lock That should get you in My dream Car LOL and Thank you for using Fix Ya Bear001
