I assume motor tune or other mechanical condition is not causing the problem.
When engine running, ensure no engine combustion gas bubbles in coolant resevoir (if so, the head gasket is blown).
I suggest you go through this checklist:-
Check radiator cooling fans are operating ok (as required when car warms up) - if not check
1) fuse,
2) relay operation,
3) heat sensor switch.

Check/replace the thermostat, Check for collapsing (soft) coolant hose on suction side of waterpump when engine revs above idle.
Check the coolant pressure cap is serviceable & of correct rating,
Ensure cooling system is correctly filled, bleed off any airlocks as necessary,
Check radiator cooling core is not blocked internally or externally.

COULD BE THERMOSTAT IF TOP RADIATOR HOSE IS NOT HOT AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE GOING TO WATER PUMP IS HOT THE THERMOSTAT STICKING PARTIALLY CLOSE.IF TOP HOSE IS HOT THE RADIATOR,ENGINE BLOCK HEATER CORE NEED FLUSHING OUT.IF WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE LEAKING REPLACE WATER PUMP, FAULTY WATER PUMP WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO OVER HEAT.REPLACE RADIATOR CAP MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 50 / 50 MIX SOLUTION ANTIFREEZE AND WATER IN COOLANT SYSTEM. IF ALL LOOKS GOOD CHECK ENGINE OIL ON DIP STICK, IF OIL IN DIP STICK LOOK LIKE MILKSHAKE YOU HAVE BLOWED HEAD GASKET THAT WILL CAUSE ENGINE OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING CAR IN SHORT DISTANCE AND ENGINE OVERHEATING.

Hey there, I have replaced the thermostat on my 1994 Camry LE 3.0 liter, however it still overheats at about 20 miles of city traffic & I must use the heater. I made sure the thermostat opened, checked...

An engine can overheat due to 2 causes:
1 - the water flow is too small - due to either a failing water pump (replace it) or a clogged radiator (run a radiator cleaning solution).
2 - the fan isn't working as it should (or not at all) - in your case probably not at all since its sensor seems to be not connected.

Water pump

Okay...this is how to remove and install it....you do it from under neath...some of it...

DOHC ENGINE
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. CAUTION
Never open, service or drain the radiator or cooling system when hot; serious burns can occur from the steam and hot coolant. Also, when draining engine coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted to ethylene glycol antifreeze and could drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantities. Always drain coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or is several years old.
  2. Drain and recycle the engine coolant.
  3. Raise the car and support it with safety stands.
  4. Unfasten the splash shield bolts and remove the shield.
  5. Loosen the water pump pulley retaining bolts, then remove the drive belt.
  6. Remove the A/C compressor bolts and move the compressor aside.
  7. Unfasten the water pump retainers and remove the pump from the middle timing belt cover.
  8. To install:
  9. Install the water pump and tighten the retainers to 17 ft. lbs. (24 Nm).
  10. Place the A/C compressor in position and tighten the mounting bolts.
  11. Install the drive belt and tighten the water pump pulley bolts.
  12. Install the splash shield and tighten the bolts.
  13. Fill the cooling system with the proper amount and mixture of coolant.
  14. Connect the negative battery cable.
  15. Start the engine and check for leaks.

Water leaking into KH laser Hatchback

It could be coming in through the rear door as the rubber might not be sealing properly the easiest way to find the leak is to remove your seats and carpet sit inside get someone to squirt the car round the doors and windscreen air vents.

93 lebaron overheats slowly

sounds like it could be your radiator could be slightly plugged or rear dirty on the outside causing very little airflow over a period this will cause an overheat .do this car have an electric radiator fan ? and when motor os hot or even over heating the electric fan motor should be spinning until cooler if no repair that. are you loosing coolant ? after a long hot drive put your hand on the front side of the rad with the motor off and feel the center of the rad then put your hand on the corners see if there is a differance if there is the rad is plugged try to flush it or replace rad and thermostat ok

Overheating engine

Check your freon level on your AC system. If unit is low, it can actually put out more heat in front of the radiator. Does it overheat when the AC is off?
