I believe they are located on the drivers side under the dash by the firewall. the electrical connector for the PCM is under the hood on the drivers side firewall near the brake power booster.
You could have a worn out wheel bearing. OR The wheel bearing lock nut has come loose because the split pin is missing. this split pin prevents the lock nut from becoming loose.
1998 to 2002......there are a few on ebay for $50.....and they are 8 pin connector types. Auto dim, compass, etc. Type in on the ebay motors page "Lincoln Continental Mirror" and you will find it.
