Chang oil light reset gmc diesel truck

TO RESET CHANGE OIL LIGHT.TURN IGNITION SWITCH TO RUN POSITION WITH ENGINE OFF.PRESS ACCELERATOR PEDAL QUICKLY 3 TIMES IN 5 SECONDS.THE OIL LIGHT WILL FLASH WHEN IT HAS RESET.

The change in temperature from Las Vegas to Alaska could have resulted in condensation building up in your fuel tank. Also you could have gotten some diesel fuel contaminated with water. The transmission oil should be changed as per manufactures suggestion or at least every 50,00 miles especially if you are towing.

Turn the ignition key to the RUN position. Fully push and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. If the CHANGE OIL SOON light flashes 2 times, the system is reset. However, if the light comes on and stays on for 5 seconds, the system did not reset. Repeat the procedure if the system does not reset.

u gonna need an electronic scan tool designed for your cars model to reset the oil change light....

look in the manual......turn the ignition to the on position not starting it of course and then pump the gas petal 5 times then the light will blink a few times turn off then back on...problem solved

To reset the oil life......turn the key on....do not start....pump the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.....then turn the key off and back on and it should be reset....sometimes u have to do it a couple times.......and what heater fan r u talking about?.....

It's a nag lihgt to remind you to change the oil.

To reset the warning, turn your ignition key to on, but not start. Pump your gas pedal three times quickly and the light will disappear for another 3000 miles.

try resetting

turn the key to the on position and press the gas pedal to the floor 6 times in rapid succession. than start the trurck without turning the key off

Turn on the ignition switch without starting the vehicle and mash the accelerator to the floor 3 times slowly and this should reset the change oil sensor.
