On most 55k or 60k services they flush all of the fluids and add new ones. Service the belts if needed. Some dealers even suggest doing the timing belt on them. But to tell you the truth most everything execpt the oil can wait until about 75k. Very little breakdown occurs in the other fluids in this amount of time especially under normal driving conditions. Now if in severe stop and go traffic all the time have the tranny and brake fluid serviced because it will be the worst.

The 55,000 mile service is generally a minor service.
This service generally involves an oil and filter changetire roatation , and a safety inspection. While changing the oil, the mechanic will be performing visual inspections of the brakes, belts, and hoses, inspecting for any fluid leaks, listening for any abnormal noises, and paying attention to any irregularities in the operation of the vehicle.

Service message appearing only 4,000 miles after most recent service? No other warnings/indicators present.

Possibly reset issue.
Google "D3 service interval reset" for instructions.
It is probably through the menu system.

Service interval mileage is also selectable on A8's through the menu system. I very much doubt anyone has altered this.

Dear sir i have an audi a8l v6 and i have changed oil my self but i still got the indecator comes on every now and then , is there a way to reset it with out going to the dealer. thank you

It is not possible to have that reset or turned off "Service Due!" without using a diagnostic scantool connected to the data link connector of the car. This is the only one way to reset service due light on a 2005 Audi A8.

Every 60,000 miles. Change the timing belt, accessory serpentine belt, hydraulic timing tensioner, tensioner and idler rollers, tensioner relay arm, water pump, thermostat, and coolant. A dealer will charge you $1100 or more, and an independent European specialist probably $650-750. If you're in range of the southern tier of NY, I can do it for you (I specialize in Audi and VW). Order your parts online and I'll do the work for $250 in labor.

Complete cost to replace the water pump a8 2005?

Depends on where you go. A dealer is going to charge you through the nose. An independent shop will be somewhat less. I'd recommend you do the whole timing belt service though - the water pump's replacement schedule is along with the t-belt, tensioner, serpentine, etc.

If you're in the northeast US, reply here with an email address and we can talk. I do Audi servicing out of my own garage and can likely beat the indie shop's prices (and the dealer for sure) since I don't have the overhead of a shop:)
