Lost Key Code to re-set radio in 2001 Ford Expedition.

Disconnected battery, radio will not work now. Need to find radio key code to enable radio to work. Ford Dealership in my area says "never heard of such a problem".

Hi, yeah this is a common problem. And the dealership will charge you about £40 just to reset the radio so they can get the code (thats what they tell you anyway)

if you can take the radio out and post the serial number that is on the side, should start with the letter M****** i should be able to post you the radio code using your serial number.

Quite unlike the dealership has told you this is a very common problem. I answer this question approximately 4-6 times every week. This code is often hand written on the front or rear cover of the owners manual or the system supplement booklet. If you are the original owner of the car, this is probably not true. Then this becomes a difficult situation, because, your dealer claims to have no knowledge of the problem then go directly to the parts department and give them the serial number of your system and they can provide you with the code.

I'm locked out of my 2001 expedition the key won't work and keyless entry won't unlock either I don't know the pass code for my door either how do I get in without any cost

You will have to reprogram the key. You may have to take it to a dealer, but some can be re-programmed on the vehicle by sticking it in the door, and then completing a pattern of holds and turns with the key.
That is not the case with this key. You need access to the inside of the car. Try calling a dealer and giving them your info and VIN, they may be able to let you in. otherwise, try new batteries, could be the door handle, as it reads the chip in the key

I Lost my key

Vlad, Take that info along with your car's registration to the parts department of your local Ford dealer. With that info they can look up the code you need to get your radio working again. Be sure to write the code they give you into your owners manual. Any time the car's battery dies or is disconnected, you will need to input that code into your radio to get it working again.

I need key code radio 6000 cd rds eon serial M 090920 please i really need it

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

I disconnected the battery from my 2001 Volkswagen golf V5, now i dont know the code for the radio... can anyone please help..!! (:

IMPORTANT NOTE:
You must have the security anti-theft code for your VW radio from the car manufacturer, or from a VW dealer!

You can find the radio code at: http://www.radio-code.co.uk/

The sequence of VW radio programming is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed.

The radio is now ready for use!

Your radio code number should read: 5796.

I trust this will do the job.

I have no other code for your model.

Please let me know if this works.

You need to recover the radio's serial number to decode the 4 digit radio key. The full process and decoder is available here: Porsche Boxster: Online Lost Radio Code Recovery Tool

No key for 2001 ford expedition

you can't start the vehicle without taking it in and having a new key programmed to it- you can have a key made- it will unlock it and turn in the ign. but will not start without programming- your ford dealer may be able to get the key code for the vehicle but most likely you'll also have to purchase a new ign. cylinder and have 2 keys made because it takes 2 keys to program after an erase. hope this helps, good luck
