This high-pitched noise sounds to me like the right-front brake pads. They are most likely semi-metallic brake pads. You may want to remove the tyre and inspect the pads first for excessive wear. If they appear worn, of course, replace them. If they are not too worn, you may want to apply some disc brake anti-squeal spray to the backing plate of the outer brake pad. Another thing to consider, is to switch the pads out with ceramic pads. They last longer, are quiet, and don't create as much brake dust, especially if you have mag wheels that you're trying to keep clean.

Of course, without hearing the noise for myself, I can't EXACTLY determine the nature of it, but this is the first place I would look. Please let me know if you need any further assistance! :) -Jason

Check water pump bad

It does sound like the pump and the steering will be fine, the only indication it is going bad will be the noise. Not to worry you won't lose your steering but the noise will drive you nuts, never mind the looks you will get from other drivers, get a new pump.

I hear a loud grinding noise when i drive my car

Check front tyres & wheel bearings espesially the R/H/F. Feel tyre for high / low spots on inside & jack up & spin wheel if you get noise while jacked up it is not the tyres but wheel bearing or brake pads but more than likly a crook bearing by the sound of it. It needs to be tended to ASAP

I suggest having the front suspension immediately inspected for damage, especially something that could be repaired before causing more damage. It appears that it may, at the minimum, be out of alignment and at worst, the axle and/or frame nay be bent.

CV JOINTS wearing out..

CV joints wont cause bad tyre wear, wheel alignment angles will and so will worn bushes or ball joints get front suspension checked bad shockers or struts will cause tyre wear.
CV joints cause clicking noise on hard take off worse when doing U turn, or sharp turn from take off.

My Daewoo Lanos has a really loud noise in the front of the car. I was told it was the wheel bearing or hub bearing. I'm not sure what to do with it. Also my a/c doesn't work and when I turn it on it makes...

Wheel bearings are difficult to tell which of the four at times.
Be sure to be adviced by an old fox in the game. Cars are sound boxes. I had a car and it actually was the last bearing being the guilty one. Wheel and hub bearing is the same to me. And there are other bearings there. Better shop around for cost estimate and guarantee on repair. DIY can be more costly if no mechanic. You pay parts and go about with DIY risks you pay at all times.
And official dealers are not allways the best. Dry not moving plastic hub caps can make a lot of nasty noise at low speed in narrow streets or underground parkings. If you have those get them off clean tyre rims and caps and grease them slight with teflon spray or so. Refit. Cost virtually nothing. Also make up other items coming up fore replacement not to overinvest in old wrecker with corrosion or too high mileage. Maybe your's is fine but calculate ahead. Including totall loss value on accident.
