I have a hose on my 2001 7.3 liter powerstroke that is leaking massive amounts of oil!! It runs from the drivers side cylinder head to something on the drivers side of the fuel filter. I do not know what this hose if for and I need to replace it.

waterpump houseing/shaft seal is on the way out hence the water/coolant, running along the block. when hot the seal does so, when cold and depressurising seal doesnt.

It is the water pump most likely, they have ,what they call a weep hole in the bottom under the pulley,so they will leak out to let you know to change them right away.If it is on the top coming from the intake area,it would be the intake, they are also bad to leak, but look at the pump, under the pulley.
