Power windows and door locks not working

Toyota Camry 1996. I replaced the 30 amp fuse 2x and the power locks work and then whne I start the engine and try the power windows, the fuse breaks. One of the back windows was down a little when it rained a few days ago so I thought it might be the wet and short circuiting the power windows. But whne I pulled it out, the switch seemed dry. Any thoughts?

Replace the fuse,,, try operating the passenger window from the switch on the passenger door.. see if the fuse fails again...the rain wouldn't normally be a problem, these are designed to operate in wet conditions unless the thing was literally water logged.

SOURCE: To remove the interior door panel of a 1996 Toyota camry so that

My 96 Camry LE has 9 attachments that are visible. Some have plastic caps covering the screws; others do not. There are screws at the door handle, at the forward portion(with covers) when the door is open and the back edge (small covers). As I recall, there are several friction type fasteners around the perimiter of the panel that can be removed by prying carefully away from the metal portion of the door to free up the trim panel. Once these are loose, the trim around the inside door release handle (the one you pull to open the door) can be pryed in a backward motion. Then the entire panel can be removed by pulling upward and backward at the same time (it easier to do this with the window down). Then it is a matter of disconnecting the wires attached to the various controls for the electric windows and door locks to free up the panel itself. There is probably a plastic skin covering the metal portion of the door. Carefully pull that away to expose the inner workings of the door latch mechanisim. The rest of the procedure should become easy to figure out. I have not removed the exterior door handle itself; but it is a simple mechanism as I recall. Best of luck to you.

SOURCE: Toyota Camry power windows not working from master switch

Their are two fuses that power this system. One is a 15 amp gauge fuse and the other one is a 30 amp main power fuse. You can also check the power main relay, your ignition switch, or i could possibly be a fault in the wiring

I asked where the fuse ismlocatyed for a 1996 toyota camry for the power windows and power locks cause mine quit working at the same time

The power window/door fuse is located behind the coin tray on the bottom left of the dash? "You have to remove the coin tray. There is a fuse panel behind it. Next to that fuse panel are three bigger square fuse blocks. Two blue 40 amp fuses and a pink type C 30-amp rectangular block fuse. The power window fuse is the pink one. Unless you have very tiny hands you can't reach it. Now you have to remove the lower dash panel that is held on by four 10mm screws. Pop out the two square plastic caps on each side of the steering column to get to the two top screws." Good Luck!

Camry 1996 automatic power lock doen't work, but windows work.

if you can here relays when unlocking/locking check for power at door lock actuators inside doors, if you have power on lock/unlock and good earth from connector actuators are faulty.
if no power on test light when operating check output from central door lock module while operating, none coming out of module then it might need replacing.
check 30Amp power fuse for main relay under bonnet (which goes to pin 8 white/blue on module)and 10Amp gauge fuse in cab(pin 1 blue/red on module),pin 15 is also power when relay is on(red/blue) with test light, and module/ actuators.
check outputs from module pin 3 & 4
blue/red
blue/black
that go to door locks
