Hello. It seems your Buick's engine is 'flooded' with gas in one or more cylinders. This will cause the engine to 'race' because of a fire in one or more cylinders. The engine gets to high rpm and stays there; this is not good! Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.
Hello. Your fuel pump assembly has to be replaced. The float level assembly is 'crimped' onto the main fuel 'body'; making it nearly impossible to just buy another 'float' and install it. Another scenario is it could be an 'issue' with the ECM/PCM. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.
check battery connections at battery and starter ends. Check fuel filter, fuel pump relay, or maybe fuel pump is too weak to run engine at speed or under load. Can be coil or igniton module, map sensor, crank/camshaft sensors. Your description is pretty generic, so it possibly could be one of those "search till you find it" type repairs. Keep this in mind: In order for an engine to run it must have three things. Fuel, air, and spark. Air is easy to get. Fuel problems could only be the relay, pump, fuse, injectors. Spark is more hard to get, as you also need spark at the right time. So check igniton last, it gets real costly as you go. Coil, ignition module, any and all sensors ect.
Check the fuel pump realy if it clicks u got signal if not replace if it's fine u might need a cranksensor if it's just turninng over and not starting that's what's ur gonna need and check ur battery cables and voltage
if the bolt is hitting the frame rail or the motor mount the only thing you can do is put a floor jack under the engine to hole it and take the motor mount out and raise or lower the engine to remove bolt
my friend has the same problem with the same exact kind of car when it doesnt crank over see if your security light stays on if so its your anti-theft system. check your owners manual under the security light portion.if the anti-theft system detects a problem with the chip in your key it will shut down the starter and the feul system for 3 minute intervals.
