If the engine starts, but wont shift out of park, you should check that your brake lights are working. The interlock solenoid is powered by the brake light switch, if the fuse is blown or if the brake light switch is bad, the car wont shift out of park...I hope this helps.
If the fuses are OK, then two choice to check there: * Faulty Wiper Motor. Check if activated switch, you have voltage in the wires wiper motor; if have voltage, then the motor is bad. If dont have voltage, then switch is bad.
* Faulty Wiper Switch. The multi-function switch cannot be adjusted or repaired. If any
function of the switch is faulty, or if the switch is damaged, the
entire switch unit must be replaced.
I have a 2003 Dodge Stratus 4 door I replace my multi-function switch and I still have no functions of any blinkers at all I'm kind of thinking it might be a fuse I checked all my fuses in my fuse box relays all the fuses are good except for the fuse that might be sitting on top of the blinker I don't know what it's for it green
My best guess is the switch is bad. Did you replace it? The problem could also be the bcm, but I would test the switch first. Remove it and check it with an ohmmeter.
Turn Signal Switch
CAUTION
The Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system must be disarmed before working around the air bag or SIR system wiring. Failure to do so may cause accidental deployment of the air bag, resulting in unnecessary SIR system repairs and/or personal injury.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable from the battery.
In order to disarm the air bag system, allow the system capacitor to discharge for at least 2 minutes, before performing any removal procedures.
Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
Disconnect the electrical connector from behind the combination switch.
Remove the mounting screws securing the combination switch to the steering column adapter collar.
Remove the combination switch from the vehicle.
To install:
Install the combination switch to the steering column adapter collar. Tighten the combination switch mounting screws.
Reconnect the electrical connector to the combination switch.
Install the upper and lower steering column shrouds and tighten the retaining screws.
Reconnect the negative battery cable and check all functions of the combination switch for proper operation.
I had a problem like that on a Mercury Sable and it turned out to be the Multi-Function Switch. This was the whole assembly for the turn signals, hi/low beam switch, and wipers (I think). You have to remove it to test it to see if it is bad. Check out the Auto Zone web site to see if they have the test and replacement procedure. Thay may even do it in the store for you.
