I have a 2000 ford f250 super duty and my engine turns but wont start. It ran fine the other day then i let it sit for a day then try to start it and now it wont start this is the second time it happen to me within this past couple days

You are having an oil pressure problem most likley, these injectors need a lot of oil pressure to work, a small oil leak inside your engine, and the injectors wont fire.have a mechanic check it for you

Possibly the fuel pump check the fuel pressure with a gauge on the fuel rail if its a gas motor, is it diesel if so your in luck cause im a diesel mechanic

    I have a f250 super cab diesel, was toting alone 75 and lost all acceleration. Down to a engine shut down and check engine light on.. Throws a code 2290 turns over but no start. I read to pull fuel filter out under the hood and see if fuel is in it. Which their was. I pulled the oil filter cap off and saw little to no oil in it. Not remerbing when I do a oil filter change if their normally is oil in it. Not sure where to start. Thanks in advance

Tap in the engine
If it only happens after the vehicle has been sitting for awhile, this is due to the oil being circulated. I would recommend changing the oil with a little heavier oil or high mile oil. If the tapping persists throughout the day of driving it could be a sign of the oil pump going out.

Check if the injectors are getting fuel and if they are getting a pulse signal to actually inject.The jump start could spike the electonics.
