Low Beams suddenly stopped working

I have a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, Yesterday morning, I left the house (very early, still dark) and the low beam headlights which I always keep set for auto were working fine. Last night, well after dark, I got back into the car...and no headlights! The daytime running lights, and the high beams work fine. Any suggestions would be helpful!

I had the same problem and it turned out both my low beam light bulbs burned out. I purchased 2 new bulbs for about $5 and bingo. Keep in mind it is not the large headlamp bulb but the smaller one that sits right next it. If you do not know how to remove your headlight Google it for directions. I found a video

SURE!...Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it. OR --- Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.

My 1999 hyundai sonata's headlights will NOT work high or low beams???

As you can see from the illistration/wiring diagram, other than the actual wiring, there are two fuses (one for left & the other for right), two relays one for Low beam & one for High beam), and finally the multi-function switch which must be working to provide a ground for the relays (High & Low Beams). You can Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc.

2003 hyundai elantra low beams not working but the high beams and parking lights are, why, help

its kind of uncommon but I have seen both Low Beams burn out at the same time, but first check to see if your vehicle has a separate relay for the high beams and one for the low beams if so replace the low beam one if that is not replace both head lights, and it that is not it the only thing left is the head light switch itself.Hope this helps good luck

My low beam lights sometimes stop working i still have high beam and daylight runing lights after a while they come on.2009 elantra dealer can't find problem.

when the low beams quit try switching from high to low and back and see if low beams stay on, if they do it may be the dimmer switch, if that doesn't change anything suspect the headlight switch.

Adjustment headlights '02 Hyundai Elantra

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.
