99 ford escort running hot . i replaced the thermostat. flushed the radiator . had the synsors checked . no leaks no noice. is it my radiator?

You may need your radiator rodded and cored. But, before you do that check the relay that controls when your electric fan engages to pull air through your radiator. The sensors that control the electric fan are usually in the side tanks on the radiator. This sensor heats up and tells the fan when it needs to make the electrical connection to engage the fan to cool the radiator coolant. I would probably bet that is what is malfunctioning. They are a relatively inexpensive part. Good luck.

Where is the cooling fan relay located on a 1997 ford escort lx. Replaced the fan and it worked for a few minutes then the car ran hot and the fan would no longer work.

This car has a relay module that contains a few relays internally and cant be serviced the relay box must be replaced, the relay box module that contains the fan and ac compressor and fuelpump relays is located under the air filter box, remove the filter box and you will see the relay module bolted there. hope this helps.

I have a 1997 Ford Escort and when I shut the car off the radiator fan keep running which causes my battery to die. What can I do

you need a new fan, they are meant to run for a while when you turn it off just to cool it down slowy so the rad doesnt crack in the cold. fords have a lot of bad earth wires so maybe this but I would check the wiring to the fan. its most likely caput!

Ford escort temperature gauge going into the red enough water in the radiator

you need to see if the fan is working properly,eg;you can feel air being pulled through the radiator,or if its electric does it turn on and run quickly enough. It may even be the thermostat is not working properly,it could even be the water pump impeller(like propeller, pushes water through system)is corroded and water doesnt flow properly, but you can see by taking the radiator cap off and running the engine and holding the revs up and you will feel the water flowing past your finger ...pumps probably ok,try these things ,,,good luck

Replaced cooling fan ,cooling fan relay, and 40 amp fuse. Fan still won't come on. Any suggestions? 1995 Ford Escort w/ 1.9 liter engine.

Did you check the parts before replacement? Check if there is power supply to the fan when engine is hot and the fan should start. Also check the temperature sensor or the automatic fan switch located below the radiator, it may be faulty.

Engine overheating

If the water pump is pumping you should be able to see moving water/engine coolant in the radiator when the radiator cap is removed and the thermostat is open.
Have you checked to see if your electric cooling fan is operating properly?
