Get a 1/4in or smaller diameter rigid ice machine hose thats the only way youll be able to bypass the polimer X inside the gas tank, so get about 10 ft feed it into the gas tank whille making a loop (not a knot) below the gas tank but have the tip of the hose higher than the gas cap to ensure that you dont get a mouth full of gas then lower the tube into a gas can and watch the car go empty and the gas can fill up

You don't. There is no drain plug. If you are pulling it out to replace a fuel pump you just drop it with the fuel in it.

If you have to empty the tank you have to **** the gas out. Best to pick up a cheap hose that has a siphon built in it. make sure the tank you are putting the gas into is below the tank on the car. Start the fuel flowing and let gravity take over.

Hope this helps

How about water or dirt in the gas? It sounds like when the tank gets low this happens, so you need to check the tank out and make sure you are not getting watered down gas. This is very common and would cause the symptoms you are describing. I have a 98 Z28, so let me know if there is anything more I can help you with.

2 fuel pumps on 84 z28????!!!?

My guess is if you changed to an older style sending unit, you could eliminate that electric pump & just use your mechanical one as they did before EFI.

My 94 z28 camaro chuggs when i punch it

sounds like a fuel pump struggling to pass its contents. try running a treatment solution in your tank. if this fails to work, you will need a new fuel pump to correct this problem. sometimes, trash will build up in your tank and it will cause build up in the jets. you should check vacuum as well if needed.
