After removing the three screws, the glove box is held with two clips - one on each side. The clips will come undone when you pull on the glove box with a little force. You will then need to unplug the switch/lamp connector.

How to change cabin filter 2011 Lacrosse

I just changed mine yesterday and these tips listed above were unfortunately incorrect.

Step 1 - Open the passenger door
There is a panel that has no screws on the flatside of the dashboard which faces against the closed door at the jam side. Use a body tool and pry the panel carefully exposing the inside area of the glovebox. If possible dont do this in cold weather because the tabs are plastic. Inside the panel you will see one small tab that the glove box has a 1/4 plastic clip seated in the tab.

Step 2 - Open the glove box. Remove the 3 hex screws on the top interior row of the glove box.

Step 3 - At the right and left corners of the bottom of the glove box remove the two front facing screws on the lower hinge.

Step 4- At the very bottom parallel to the floor there are two more hex screws remove those (they hold the plastic vent in place underneath the glove box. Pull the vent downward to release the tabs.
IMPORTANT: Dont forget to go back to step 1 and pull the small tab from the slot in the dashboard cover area ( Inside the panel you will see one small tab that the glove box has a 1/4 plastic clip seated in the tab)

Step 5 - Pull down on the glove box to release the clips.

Step 6 - You will see a black box inside. There are three tabs (right, top, and left) pull them individually to remove the front facing cover. Inside you will see the air filter. Remove and have airflow arrow pointed downward.

Reverse steps to reinstall. Be sure to line up the clips before pressing them back in place. Do not force them!

Good luck. I hope this helps. I did mine on the first attempt with no issues in about 10 minutes (I'm not a mechanic).

How to remove a glovebox hinge in a chevy uplnder

This something I copied from an eBay listing, so I haven't done it yet.

Uplander Glove Box Hinge

Used in good condition.

Has minor cosmetic flaws like scratches, scrapes or scuffs you would normally expect to find on a used item.

Includes 5 screws and nuts to replace the rivets.

A web search may yield a video for you to watch.

Required Tools:

Flat screwdriver

Phillips screwdriver or else a 7mm socket and rachet

Electric drill with a 3/16" inch bit

Needle nose pliers or vise grips.

3/8" inch wrench.

Removal Instructions:

Remove the panel underneath the glove box.

3 Black 3/4" inch pan head bolts hold it in place.

Use a flat screwdriver to pry a little and slip the prongs of a pair needle nose pliers on either side of a bolt.

Push down on the handle of the needle nose pliers to remove each bolt.

Remove 2 phillips screws along the bottom of the glove box hinge.

Remove 2 phillips screws inside the glove box.

Remove the small black cabin air filter access door inside the glove box.

Put your fingers inside the left side of the access door opening.

Yank backward to loosen the 1 retainer clip on the left side of the glove box assembly.

Often times the 2 retainer clips on the right are also loosened.

Skip steps 1 to 5 if you can remove the entire glove box assembly at this point.

1) Open the front passenger door.

2) Use the flat screwdriver to remove the fuse access panel.

3) 3 Retainer clips hold it in place.

4) Use both hands to grab the glove box assembly on the far right.

5) Yank backward to loosen the 2 retainer clips on the right side of the glove box assembly.

Pull the entire glove box assembly out of the dashboard.

Some models have a strip of masking tape behind the glove box to hold it in place.

Some models have a lamp inside the glove box. Leave it in place or else pry a black tab to disconnect the wiring harness.

Hold the 'ears' of a rivet with the vise grips or needle nose pliers.

Drill through the 5 rivets with your electric drill and 3/16" inch bit.

The rivets may fall apart. Otherwise, twist the vise grips or pliers for removal.

Remove 4+2=6 phillips screws on the glove box door.

Use a flat screwdriver to pry 2 tabs on the glove box door to remove the rectangular portion.

Installation Instructions:

Install the 4+2=6 phillips screws on the glove box door.

Install the 5 replacement phillips screws and nuts where the rivets were.

For some models reconnect the glove box lamp wiring harness.

Align the 3 retainer clips and push the fuse access panel into place.

Align the 3 retainer clips and push the glove box assembly firmly into place.

Install the small black cabin air filter access door inside the glove box.

Install 2 phillips screws inside the glove box.

Install 2 phillips screws along the bottom of the glove box hinge.

Install 3 black 3/4" inch pan head bolts under the glove box assembly to hold the panel in place.

The catch on the glove box lid on a vw golf 2001 is broken how do i fix it?

You need to replace the whole glove box door. Pry the panel on the right side of the dash off, remove the t25 screw, remove the 3 t20 screws along the bottom of the glove box, and the t20 screws that you can see inside the glove box. This will loosen it enough to pull the whole glove box loose. Then you need to remove the damper by prying the little plastic pin out. Then remove the bracket it secures to that has a t20 screw in it. There are 2 plastic pins in the hinges that need to be popped out, once this is done, the door will come off. Reassembly is the reverse.
If the pins are difficult to reinstall, file the new glove box door hinge holes with a round file. I usually shoot a little oil into the damper too, just to make operation easier.

The blower does not work on the first 3 speeds only works on high

This is a pretty common problem. It's the blower motor resistor. It's a cheap & easy fix with normal tools. The resistor is located on the top of the blower motor housing which is on the passenger side of the truck under the dash (just below the glove box). In order to change it, you need to remove the glove box liner. There are just normal screws holding the glove box in (Either Phillips or Torx head screws). Take the screws out, pull out the glove box, and the resistor cover will be visable. There is a wiring pigtail/connector plugged into it. All you will see is the wires going into a flat square black plastic piece that is screwed onto the top of the housing. Unplug the wire connector, remove the 3 screws or nuts (I've seen both used) holding the resistor cover on, and then wiggle the cover up and out. The resistor is mounted to the backside of that black plastic square you are pulling up and out. The resistor is a cheap part. Locally (Minnesota) it's $15.99 for your 2000 Blazer at O'Reilly. On a few I have done, I didn't have to remove the glove box door, (or the junk in the glove box), just the liner with the junk still in it. On a few Fords I had to remove the door too. I have replaced resistors in about 20 minutes start to finish. Good luck and I hope this helps. Here is a picture of your resistor as a visual aid for when you remove the glove box liner. You'll see the top of this and as you can see in the picture, the spot where the wire connector plugs in to the center of it along with the 3 screw/bolt holes. One on each corner of the top side in the pic, one in the middle of the bottom side. You can also see the resistor itself on the back side of the cover in this picture.

How to change cabin air filter in toyota avalon 2002?

1) Turn off the ignition switch while leaving the wipers in the up position. 2) Open the hood and properly secure it in the open position. 3) Gently pull the rubber cowl seal away from the cowl vent screen. Place your hand underneath the right half of the cowl vent screen and lift straight up, thereby releasing the four spring clips and removing the right half of the screen 4) Remove the water shield. Carefully disengage the two water shield locking tabs and slide the water shield toward the front of the vehicle, lifting the water shield up and away from the vehicle 5) Remove the Passenger Compartment Air Filter, being careful not to allow debris or loose components to fall into the filter housing. Replace the Passenger Compartment Air Filter with a fresh filter and reverse the above procedures to reassemble the vehicle components.
I am not sure what time in the year your 2001 Avalon was built but her is the procedure that I just followed: 1. Open glove box and remove contents 2. Remove the three philips head screws along the top inside frame of the glove box. 3. Remove the hex head bolt in the lower right and Philips screw in the lower left side of the glove box frame. 4. Unlatch the black cover plate from the roof of the glove box. This holds an electrical connection and will need pushed up through the hole when the entire box is removed. 5. Pull on the top left side of the glove box to release the pop tab. Repeat on the right side. 6. Carefully lower the glove box assembly. 7. Disconnect the electrical connection to the trunk disable button 8. The entire glove box can now be removed from the area. The door gear assembly does not come off of the box and is easily damaged if attempted to do so. 9. The Cabin Air Filter assembly has a white cover. Pop the tabs on the right and left side and slide the assembly out. 10. Replace the filter in the assembly. Make sure the airflow indicator points down. 11. Re-Install Air Filter assembly. 12. Re-Install the electrical connections remembering to slide the one through the hole in the top of the glove box. 13. Push glove box assembly on pop tabs. 14. Re-Install screws and bolts. 15. Reconnect the black cover plate to the top of the glove box.

How to change front blower motor in a 2003 dodge caravan

Removal & Installation
CAUTION The Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system must be disarmed before removing the blower motor assembly. Failure to do so may cause accidental deployment of the air bag, resulting in unnecessary SIR system repairs and/or personal injury.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable, then wait 2 minutes before proceeding with the removal. This will effectively disable the air bag system preventing possible personal injury.

Where is the cabin air filter located on an 07 Hyundai Tiburon?

The cabin filter is located behind the glove box.

Remove the three screws along the bottom edge of the glove box door.

Open the glove box door and remove the three screws along the top edge just inside where the door closes.

Pull the glove box assembly out and you will see the cabin filter cover behind it. It is a (approx.) 1.5"x10" plastic plate that snaps out.

Remove the cabin filter cover and slide the old filter out, noting the orientation. Install the new filter in the same orientation then reassemble the vehicle.
