2 weeks ago tire pressure sensors came on. Tire pressure was OK. Once the stability track error came on. Engine stalled. Would not restart till after couple minutes, restarted. Engine light on. Had checked. No errors found. Reset engine light. Stalled several other times. Have to wait couple of minutes to restart & engine light stays on. WOW!

I bought 2 days ago. TPMS light on @purchase. Salesman says it means nothing?

TPMS Tire pressure monitoring system. Could be a bad sensor in the tire/s or none at all. Basically means you have to check the tire pressure every once in a while.

What does service tire monitor mean on a 2005 chevy tahoe means

It means you have a malfunction in the TPMS system. First you can try to do a reset as follows: 1. key on, engine off, parking brake on. 2. turn park lights on and off 4 times you will hear a horn chirp twice, you are in program mode. Start at L/F tire release air for 10 seconds, wait 15 seconds until horn chirp, after chirp go to R/F tire do the same until horn chirp then R/R let air out til the chirp then L/R do the same after the L/R chirp, turn key off and you are done, note you have only 5 min. to complete. If you do not hear horn chirp at each tire, you will have to start from beginning. When complete, remember to add air to each tire, 35 psi is recommended.
If that does not work you probably have a bad TPMS sensor, which will have to be replaced. Some auto parts stores will test your sensors for free, so check around.

Can anyone tell me what this symbol means I have a 2009 Nissan Altima and I just got it about 2 weeks ago with no manual

Which one? The "Buckle the Seat Belt" or the "Tire Pressure is Wrong in One of the Tires?" The Tire Pressure light can also mean the speed sensor on one the wheels is bad.

Re: 2000 BMW 323i 130,000 miles Since I had my tires rotated and balanced about 6 weeks ago, my DSC has been acting up. First, it was coming on once a day. When it kicked on I would hear a noise in...

make sure all of your tires match (same brand and size) . Also if one tire is significantly more worn then the others, it can cause this as well. When you rotated and balanced your tires, did you replace just one? If so, and the others aren't close to new, it will cause this.

Hi, I have a 2006 ford freestar, and a couple of weeks ago I took my van to ford to have my oil change(I always to go ford) and two weeks later my car i now not working. when trying to start it it read...

TPMS sensor stands for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Basically there is a pressure sensor in each wheel. It sends a signal to a computer and tells you if you have a low tire. This was probably not the dealerships fault as they usually check your tire pressure when they do a oil change. You should check your pressures and fill any tire that is low. They probably run at 32psi on your vehicle but you can check inside your drivers door on the sticker, that will tell you what they should be set to. If it is really low you might want to take it in and have it checked you may have picked up a nail or something along the way. Also that light will come on if a tire is too much over inflated. Good Luck

I just had my tire pressure light turned off at the dealer about 2 weeks ago. now it's back on.I know that I need to have my front breaks done can that be why my tire pressure light came back on? An I have...

Most likely you have a bad tire sensor. These sensors are part of the valve stem. The dealer probably just holds the tire inflation reset button and not uses the tool. You would have to go to somebody with a scanner to read the sensor to tell you which one is faulty.

My low tire pressure light stays on . Just had 4 brand new tires placed on my vehicle 2 weeks ago. Light still on.

Make sure there's 30 psi in each tire. If you have a full size spare, check that as well. If that's good, there should be a reset button under the steering wheel somewhere. Hold it down with the key on or engine running until it blinks 3 times and goes out. If that's no good make sure you still have 4 sensors.
