Horn will not work 1992 geo metro

Easy problem.
1. Find the horn.
2. Disconnect the wire to the horn.
3. Apply voltage from the battery to the horn via a jumper cable.
4. No sound? Horn is bad, replace it.
5. Horn sounds? Horn relay is bad, find it and replace it. Could also be the horn switch in the steering wheel. With horn disconnected, push on steering wheel and listen for the relay to click. No click? then you have a bad steering wheel switch or no relay.

Or take the car into a reputable service shop. Taking your steering wheel apart is difficult, probably not something you want to do on your own.

I had to pull relay out for horn because my horn started blowing when I turned the wheel. How do I fix the problem with the horn blowing when I turn

To fix it properly, you would need to remove the steering wheel to access the wiring for the horn. It has most likely become chafed by improper routing and is shorting out when you turn the wheel. Another, perhaps simpler fix would be to find the horn wire coming out of the bottom of the steering column. Cut it, splice a new wire to it and route it to one side of a horn button you can install on the dashboard. Run a wire from the other side of the button to chassis ground. Test the horn for operation by pressing the button. No more accidental beeping.

89 Ford tempo won't turn over. Silinoid rapidly clicks and interior lights dim. I have cleaned all connections that I can find. I got it to turn over once , and start but not again since then. Also...

You might have a bad solenoid. I would try a new one. Or else what about your battery? Are you certain it is at full charge? Battery cables good and connected tight everywhere? If battery and cables are good, then it's probably the solenoid or the starter giving you problems.

The horn is not related at all. Usually a horn problem is with the switch in the steering wheel, but if you have an air bag, you'd better let someone fix or check it who has experience working around them and how to disable and handle them. I'm sure there are videos on youtube, that detail all these procedures- you can find almost anything on the internet, almost everything, might even be something for your Tempo.
The horn itself is always at the front of the car, maybe hidden behind the bumper, or on a brace around the radiator, behind the grill, just look in those places, but 9 times out of 10, the horn itself is good and it's the wheel switch or wiring or horn relay that is the problem.

Repair horn assy how do you remove the assy

Are you speaking of the horn? Or the horn relay? Or the horn button? Or the horn button split ring armature? To remove the horn assembly in the steering wheel you will need a steering wheel puller and a U shaped clamp that will screw down to the steering bolt you will need a 3/4 socket with a 3-inch extension and a ratchet. You will also need to picks to pull center snap ring off to get to the parts under the plate for the horn. To remove you will need to buy 2 security nuts tork wrenches #8 I believe, you will have to disconnect the battery before working on it as the bag could explode if you do not have the battery disconnected. After removing the positive side of battery cable wait 5 minutes before proceeding. Then remove the two bolts that hold the front horn assembly and air bag from the rear of the steering wheel next remove horn air bag assembly and disconnect the wire for the air bag. Place horn to the side then remove the 3/4 bolt out from the center, next install steering wheel puller on the steering wheel and put in three bolts and tighten them evenly so that the puller is on straight. Screw center bolt into the steering bolt until the wheel comes loose, remove steering wheel and place it at the side, next use the U shaped clamp to press the center plate down 1/4 inch to be able to clear the snap ring around the steering wheel. With one pick hold the ring in place with the other force it between the steering wheel bolt and work the ring up and out of the grove it sits in. Next work it all the way up till you have it in your hand, and do not lose. Now pull plastic plate off if you put the wheels straight then it will go on the same way you pulled it off because it's keyed mark it with a felt tip pen so you don’t have to hassle with keying it in again. Next remove the plate and there you will find the horn contacts and the round disk that the connectors push against, so if you need more info just ask on this post.

1992 Dodge Ram 50: Horn honks all by itself.

Check the horn actuating contact at the centre of the steering wheel. It may be damaged or mis-aligned.
Also check the carbon contact that runs on the slip ring under the steering wheel (associated with steering wheel horn actuate switch) It may be damaged or mis-aligned.

If none of the above are faulty, you should look for a possible intermittent short to ground on the horn actuation control wiring.
