How to reset hand/foot brake toyota avalon 2005, drove with hand brake on a couple of times and now it doesnt work!

You have to check the e-brake shoes. these shoes live inside the rear brake rotors. the shoes will either just need to be adjusted or possibly replaced if they cracked from the heat of driving w/ them engaged. sorry there's not a quick fix to this one

Automatics do not have a hand brake. Only standard transmission vehicles have hand brakes.

Automatics have a parking brake, to be used on hills.

Take a look at this image;

Down at the foot pedals, the one on the far left side is the parking brake. If you don't know this, then you probably shouldn't be driving. Take a taxi or a bus instead. You're dangerous!!

If you feel that the brakes are hard then check you brake booster, It coud be bad or have no vacuum from the intake manifold. Good luck
