More than likely your blower motor resister went bad, that is what regulates the fan speeds

If its not working at all try this.

Find it up under the passenger side of the dash. They are a real treat to get at. With the key on and the blower speed setting set to high tap on the blower motor. If it starts working replace it. If it doesn't start working let me know and I'll get you some info to check wiring.

No. One fuses controls it all. If the fan only blows at certain speeds but no all speed settings, then either the blower motor or the switch is the problem.

Sounds like the blower motor resistor. It should be mounted close to the blower motor. The blower motor resistor may run around $50.00, you may need to replace the plug, dealer item, around $60-70. Shouldn't be $1000.

beleive it or not it is the high speed blower relay ... has one setting for high and a variable setting for all lower speeds ... usually found on the firewall near the blower motor

most american cars force the defroster to blow cold air, this is not a problem, it does this by design.
