1989 camaro 305 run rough and won't idle. Spits

1989 Camaro with stock 305. Was running fine when it suddenly died. Could start with feathering the accelerator but spits and shudders horrible. Can not drive. Had to tow home. I have replaced the distributor cap and rotor with the same results. Could it be clogged fuel filter? Fuel pump? Bad coil? I am not sure if it is fuel or fire. The car is not driven regularly only racking up 1300 miles in two years. It sits in a shop most of the time. Thanks....

Your fuel may have broken down and will not fire correctly or maybe your computer went out try tapping on the side of the computer case with the handle end of a screw driver to see if you might have a faulty board inside sometimes that helps the connection and it may run better.

Spray some brake cleaner in the throttle body to keep it running and keep spraying and see if you can rev it up. If this produces better results then check fuel pressure. Most likely time for a pump. If this happen all of a sudden I would not suspect the fuel filter as being the cause and I would also replace it with the new pump.

1994 Chevy Camaro, 6 Cylinder, stalling problem

Try cleaning the throttle body and the idle speed control valve, they get full of sludge and this causes stalling. Use a product called CRC Throttle valve cleaner on both parts, DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER IT WILL RUIN THE PARTS.

My 89 camaro doesnt run properly and doesnt expel exhaust

Find out if the engine is effective enough in air in-taking. Most of such problems are due to faulty air intake systems which at the same time fail to support proper performance of the engine. A number of cars also lack these gadgets and in case yours is one of such then you need to install it. You can get a number of them from AFE Performance to pick from..

1988 camaro runs great but then just suddenly dies at any time, then starts right back up.

If the check engine light is not on, its going to be tough to troubleshoot.
You would need to be able to duplicate the problem on demand to know if you fixed it or not.
Could be anything electrical, like a relay, or the coil, or ignition module, and so on.

91 camaro 305 tpi runs rough at idle sometimes stalls and has power loss

tune up-read your plugs and then check your timing. use timing light and double check with scan tool-most 91 305's were high outputs which
requires higher octane than regular (fuel grade revelatnt to compression ratio and altitude) you may want to check fuel pressure could be a clogged filter or bad pump.
